GIDSS Projects
International Peace Awards
International Peace Awards promotes diversity, multiculturalism, and building peace while also honouring hundreds of non-profit organizations that work to help the community through grassroots work. We showcase them for their outstanding work as role models to others. This project is supported by the Department of Culture and Heritage (Government of Canada).
Canada-Wide Job Networking
GIDSS, with support from the Government of Canada, is building a national jobs and internship networking site for individuals and Canadian employers. The services on this site are provided for free and we have successfully helped many applicants get positions in their field.
Promoting Healthy Living
This project is funded by the Government of Canada and supported by the City of Brampton to help Canadians live healthy lives by teaching them healthy practices such as yoga & meditation, healthy cooking, making use of health tracking technologies, and much more.
Canada-Wide Resource Directory
We are working to build a national non-profit resource directory, allowing anyone to find help locally. The resource directory is free of charge and currently has information on over 6,000 wonderful non-profits that work daily to help Canadians. This project is supported by the City of Brampton.
Smart Help for Seniors
Our volunteer teams have helped over 5,000 seniors in the peel region with learning technology and functional literacy. We have over 300 active volunteers and are currently working with more than 30 seniors clubs, providing them with any support they need.
